Rob Rodriguez - August 2020 - Creator Of The Month

A local creative artist, with deep passion for anything related to art! Rob started creating with his mother at a very young age, as an outlet for when times got tough. Like most artists Rob tends to draw inspiration from his environment and current feeling.

He has been fortunate enough to visit some of the most beautiful and famous museums in Europe. He explains "Their is nothing like sitting infront of one of your hero's and trying to break down their style". This might just give us a real understanding of one of Rob's seemingly favorite past times... Recreating His hero's Art and I mean he is dead on! "At the moment I am in the middle of recreating a few paintings by Klint and Schiele" with his own colorful spin, Rob gives these pieces a different life! He explains very modestly, "Theirs really nothing for me to gain from my art, other than it is a therapy for me. I just enjoy being able to have a nice piece of work that I can say I made my self."

His passion and his spirit combine to create work that seems to come alive. I don't think Rob realizes the speciality of his art, or the great niche he has for it. I hope he continues to cradle the gift he has. There is a gentle knowing in his voice when he say's 'their is nothing to gain from my art' but yet he continues to do it, despite the odds. I personally hope to live in a world where the creativity in others is embraced more than shunned away, artists like Rob Rodrigues, bring light to those who are lucky enough to experience their work. I hope to see you all supporting artist like him because we are everywhere.. Your friends, Your colleagues, Your neighbors. Support them, buy their art and always encourage them to create. Some of us were only made for one thing and none of us should think we are the wiser to take it away or shun it as for shame.
