Eva Marie has been making art ever since she can remember. It started with drawing anime as a little one, to realistic pencil portraits in high school, and then branched out into oil paintings and jewelry making in adulthood. Growing up with A.D.D., She would always be trying out and learning new crafts. Sticking to one thing was (and still is) tough. Inspiration comes from everywhere, and when the muse calls out, one simply cannot dismiss it!
While she’s creating, sometimes Eva feels like a conduit of color. Color placement is a very important aspect throughout her work. Placing the colors where they are meant to be on the canvas or in her jewelry is like fitting puzzle pieces together, and the colors just know where they must be placed. If there’s a space where she’s not sure what to paint, sometimes she just asks, “What color goes here?” and then she’ll see it.
Eva Marie is also a musician. Singing has been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember as well, and this lead to her learning to play guitar and ukulele to accompany herself. Eva’s passion for music and art lead her to an open mic at a coffee shop one day where she started performing weekly, and ended up meeting her partner, Justin. From there, the two of them began hosting their own open mic events, bringing people together to share their own talents and created a community based on a love of creativity.
Since the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns, Eva and Justin were not able to have public events, so she began streaming on Twitch. On her channel (3VAMOON), she live streams video games, she plays music, and she makes art! She’s built her own community with comfy, good vibes. She also sells her unique handmade jewelry and hand drawn pinback buttons and magnets on Etsy (MoonWoodMakings)! The pumpkins are a big hit. And there’s so much more to come!
